Role Description
We are seeking a National Accounts Manager with direct Home Depot experience to lead and grow our DIY and Hardware retail business. This role is ideal for candidates currently operating as an Associate National Account Manager, Category Manager, or Account Lead at leading CPG companies who are ready to step into full account ownership. This is a full-time, on-site position located in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area for the National Accounts Manager – Home Depot | Category Leadership (CPG Growth) Role.
As Bar Keeper's Friend National Accounts Manager, you will own Home Depot relationship end-to-end, drive distribution gains, assortment expansion, and off-shelf execution. You will be responsible to influence category growth, bay space, and merchandising strategy. Lead and manage contracted manufacturer rep (broker) networks, set KPIs and drive accountability for in-store execution and reporting. You will align brokers with internal Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams, leverage POS data, Nielsen insights, and shipment trends, and own forecasting accuracy and demand planning
The National Accounts Manager will also be responsible for delivering sales presentations, monitoring competitor performance, facilitating promotions, and ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in account management, category leadership, and sales planning within the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry Clorox, SC Johnson, Rust-Oleum, Method, Reckitt, or similar CPG companies
- Direct experience working with Home Depot (DIY retail – NOT Pro/B2B)
- Strong background in category management and planogram ownership
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data, market trends, and develop actionable insights
- Proficiency in building relationships and managing partnerships with key retail accounts, preferably with The Home Depot or similar national retailers
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving ability to develop growth plans tailored to customer needs
- Proficiency in tools like CRM software, sales forecasting systems, and business analytics tools
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Availability to work on-site in the Atlanta Metropolitan Area; occasional travel may be required
- Experience with product lifecycle management and knowledge of the CPG market landscape is a plus
